Club Safety Rules & Code of Conduct
Dreams Gymnastics is committed to promoting a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all gymnasts and their families. It is essential that all gymnasts, coaches, parents and volunteers associated with the club follow the code of conduct and show respect and understanding to the welfare of others.
- All Gymnasts should consider the safety and wellbeing of other participants at the club and in their session.
- Participate within the rules and respect the coaches and volunteers.
- Arrive at the agreed time for classes/events and inform the coach if they are going to be late or unable to attend.
- Wear suitable attire for training (preferably a leotard) including no jewellery, buttons, zips or loose clothing.
- Hair must be tied back and secured away from the face.
- Treat all equipment with their uppermost respect
- Walk from station to station, do NOT run, and do not use the equipment unless supervised by a coach
- Not leave the hall without consent of their coach.
- Not eat during their gymnastics class however bringing a drink is essential.
- Only use mobile phones if permission is granted and only for the purpose of personal reflection and development
- Follow the latest Government Guidance and not bring your child to Gymnastics, if either your child/you or a member of your household becomes ill, comes in close contact with anyone who has suspected COVID symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19.
- Not bully, harass or intimidate any other individual whilst in the club.
- A zero tolerance policy is adopted by the club.
*Please note should any gymnasts repeatedly act in a manner which goes against the Club Safety Rules & Code of Conduct, Dreams Gymnastics reserve the right to end their membership and remove them from the club should any previous warnings not result in a positive change.
Dreams Fees Policy
Dreams Gymnastics provide affordable gymnastics classes and opportunities for all and we promise to communicate any changes regarding prices as soon as possible to our families.
Trials
- This class is the price of one session.
- Please let us know after the trial session, if your child would like to join Dreams Gymnastics. If we are not notified, then the space may be taken by someone else.
- Please note the trial fee for any class is non-refundable however if you are unable to make the trial for any reason then we will try to accommodate and move the trial to a different day or week if possible.
Class Fees
- Payment is required for all lessons regardless of attendance and all fees are non-refundable.
- If a gymnast does not wish to continue training, then please notify the club as soon as possible. Please note if your child is in a competition squad we require 1 full calendar months notice if they wish to leave.
- There is no class refund for the remainder of the month unless the month of classes has not yet started.
- If a gymnast does not attend class for 2 weeks without any notification then they may be removed from the class and the space offered to someone else.
- If a gymnast is unable to attend a class then no refund will be issued as you are paying for the space.
- Please notify us before class, if your child is unable to attend. A message or email is perfect.
- If a gymnast is away for a period of time, then you will still be required to pay the monthly fee to keep the space. Please do let us know.
- If a gymnast has a substantial injury such as a broken bone or signed out of sport for recovery/operation etc then the monthly fee will be halved until the gymnast can return to training.
Class Cancellation
Due to unforeseen circumstances including COVID, class/es may need to be cancelled. Should we need to cancel a class, prior notice will be given, and where possible a replacement session will be rescheduled. If we cannot reschedule the missed session a refund or credit will be placed on your account. Please note - if a replacement session is offer and you cannot make the rescheduled session you will not be refunded for that session.
Additional Fees
Recreational Gymnasts
On joining the club, you will be invoiced the remaining fees for the term as well as a one-off Club Registration fee per household of £25.00 after the trial session is completed to help with general upkeep and equipment.
The £25 fee also includes the 1st year of IGA Gymnastics Insurance Fee of £15.99 for one child. If more than one child joins from the same family, you will be invoiced an additional £15.99 insurance fee per child. (IGA Gymnastics Insurance Fee for 2023/2024). All gymnasts who sign up to our classes will need to be insured by IGA Gymnastics, we are not able to accept British Gymnastics Insurance.
The joining fee/ insurance is non-refundable.
Competitive Gymnastics
Squad gymnasts are required to pay an annual club subscription in June of each year of £25.00 to help with equipment and coaches travel to and from competitions, this will be added to your June invoice.
Gymnastics Insurance
Dreams Gymnastics are affiliated to Independent Gymnastics (IGA). All Gymnasts are required to obtain insurance after they have completed their Trial session and on joining the Club.
If you are new to Dreams Gymnastics, your gymnast can attend a max of two trial sessions only before joining the club without insurance. On joining the club you will be invoiced for the 1st years Insurance payment along with the balance of term fees and the one-off club registration fee.
The membership insurance for the 2023/2024 season is £15.99. The insurance is an annual fee renewable each year at the end of September to cover your child from 1st October to 30th September of the next year and through Independent Gymnastics.
If you are already part of Dreams Gymnastics, you are required to renew your gymnasts membership/ insurance each year at the end of September.
Please be aware that without Independent Gymnastics Insurance, your child will NOT be able to attend any classes or take part in any competitions.
